About Elliott Street Boutique
Welcome to Elliott Street!
Hey ESBabes! Elliott Street Boutique was founded by me, Heather Adkins. I am an Ohio University graduate, a full time credit analyst, a cat mom, a paranormal enthusiast, an Enneagram 5w4, and a passionate business owner. Opening a boutique has been a lifelong goal of mine for as long as I can remember. My love of fashion started as young as 6 years old, as seen in this fabulous shot of my friends and me (far right) at a tea party themed birthday. Obviously, I have had a taste for the finer things in life.
My love of fashion and interest in business led me to Ohio University where I graduated with my degree in retail merchandising, fashion product development and business in 2018. The years following graduation were filled with job experiences, travel, and much more, all while planning a hypothetical boutique. Finally, after many months of planning, Elliott Street Boutique was opened on November 11, 2021. We have now been in business for over one year!
So, where is Elliott Street?
Elliott Street is not actually a street that I named the boutique after. The name Elliott is the last name of my paternal great-great-grandfather, Wilbur Elliott who lived in Lebanon, Ohio. Of course, I never met Wilbur but my grandmother tells me that he was a man of few words, and he was well known for his mustache, for obvious reasons. Pictured below is Wilbur Elliott and his wife, Mella Elliott in June, 1963.
The name Elliott also happens to be my husband's middle name. It was truly a coincidence that Jack has the same middle name as my relatives. Jack's mother, Shelley said that the name Elliott was simply a random suggestion from her sister.
Jack and I originally met in 2009, when he asked me to be his valentine in front of a full class of fifth graders. I promptly rejected him, and somehow ended up marrying him 13 years later in 2022.
I personally invite you to browse the shop and join Elliott Street's online community by following along on Instagram and Facebook! Thank you so much for shopping small and supporting big dreams!
